Your electrical system will function exactly like stock with this kit, just with the battery relocated to the rear. This kit upgrades the alternator cable, battery positive cable, battery negative cable, and also includes an aux engine ground and aux frame ground. The stock battery positive cable has a fusible link, and this kit isn't eliminating that safety feature! This kit retains a fused positive battery cable, just in 1\/0 AWG instead of 4 AWG! The wire lengths are custom spec'ed for Lightnings with an option for the additional length for Harley Trucks (Please contact me for Harley Truck length kits). This will work with either a bed mounted battery box or an underframe mounted style tray. Unlike many of the popular how‐to's on this mod that are incorrectly fused, incorrectly terminated, or incorrectly wired, this kit is designed to properly relocate the battery with the battery still fused in the rear. This kit also includes the wiring to install an NHRA legal kill switch with the alternator wired up the proper way to both safely shut down the vehicle without it running on the alternator with the battery disconnected, and safely shut down the alternator with the output wired to the battery side of the kill switch. The other methods of disabling the alternator with a secondary solenoid or interrupting the field wire can and will damage the alternator with nothing to absorb the voltage spike upon shutdown. This kit includes all cables, clamps, fuses, boots, and mounting hardware as shown in the kit photo.
