Hi, I’m Josh Verdieck, founder of HDCircuitry LLC. I've been elbows deep in the 2nd Gen Lightning & Harley Truck world since 2000, modifying, racing, and building these trucks for over 25+ years.

Long before HDCircuitry, I was a fixture in the Ford Lightning and Harley Truck forums scene under the screen name Harley#356. F150-online, Ford Truck World (FTW), National Lightning Owners Club (NLOC), National Harley Truck Owners Club (NHTOC), LightningRodder, Lightning Garage, etc. I spent years drag racing with DelValLO, home of the world's fastest Lightnings, at Englishtown, Atco, Cecil, Maplegrove, and MIR. I took my 2000 Harley F-150 from a 16 second N/A slug to a record setting benchmark that shook up and upset the Lightning community that this "Lightning Limo" was raising the bar. In the early 2000's after I did a 2002 HD drivetrain swap, I set the record for the fastest Eaton powered HD truck with a 12.1 @ 112 that stood for years.

In short order the mod-bug evolved and I went built and twin-screw with a JLP long-block and 2.6 KB in 2008, and a full cage from Joe Gambino at Precision Racecars in 2010. Over the next several years I continued to smash records and raise the bar by taking the fastest street-driven Harley truck record in 2008 with a 10.91 and chipping away at it every year (10.48, 10.32, etc.) eventually becoming the first HD truck into the 9's in 2013 and accumulating a stack of 9 second slips on the trusty old JLP iron block & 2.6 KB combo with a best of 9.88!

Finally in 2016 I had enough of pushing the 2v to the limits in a limo of a truck, and decided to go 4 valve. Again with the best of the JLP Racing expertise, I jumped to a 4 valve aluminum block setup with a 5.8L Darton wet sleeved 3.7 big bore GT supercar aluminum block, CNC ported 4V GT supercar heads, JLP stage 3 cams, built-everything, and a monstrous 4.9L Kenne Bell. The new combo made more power on a break-in tune than I ever had on the 2v setup, and lays the potential for 8s in the future.

My engineering roots run deep in racing. Starting with an Electrical Engineering degree from Drexel, to designing, building, and competing in the Formula Hybrid SAE competitions in New Hampshire and Italy, where our Drexel team placed on the podium in both events with a series powered hybrid Formula SAE racecar that I designed, wired, and built with my team in 2008-2009.

The real-world racing and wrenching experience of both the Lightning community and Formula SAE showed me something clear: most people are terrible at wiring. They leave behind spaghetti messes that are hard to troubleshoot and even harder on the eyes. Also many aftermarket kits out there just send a bundle of wire and parts and leave it to you to DIY the rest with vague directions. If it is a "kit" they often use cheap plastic loom, sloppy heat shrink (if any at all), wire runs too short or too long, aesthetics not a factor at all, and marginally rated components that sooner or later flake out. My OCD tendencies and obsession with cleanliness drove me to do things differently. I design every HDCircuitry kit from scratch using my electrical engineering background and experience in hands-on wrenching, then build them with my own two hands for complete quality control and ease of install. My obsessive habits for a super clean and organized install also influence my kits where it brings a super clean OEM-Plus type of look where it looks better than factory but appears right at home (if you can even see the clean-hidden install at all!). The result is clean, professional, high-performance wiring solutions that look as good as they perform.

I started HDCircuitry LLC in 2014 as a side-business hobby doing small batches of kits for the local Lightning guys and some forum Group-Buys, and since then I’ve personally built over 1,500 kits with my own two hands. Absolutely nothing is outsourced, drop shipped, or built by anyone other than myself. These kits have shipped to nearly all 50 states and several countries around the globe. I still do this as a side-business hobby so I currently only offer my existing kits to manage demand, but no other wiring/harness kits on the market for our platform can touch the quality and engineering in my kits!

As I’ve helped so many guys over the years on the forums and at the track, every kit is built to be as DIY-friendly as possible — with clear color step-by-step instructions and thoughtful design so you can actually enjoy the install. All my kits are built on templates I've designed to ensure consistency and quality, with instructions so well detailed that competitors have even bought my kits to use them to duplicate their own copied versions.

While my kits are not the cheapest option, cheap is not something you want for anything electrical on your vehicle! I only use the highest quality components, and if you break out the cost to build my kits using the same quality materials, often times it's almost the same or even more to DIY and have a pile of parts and no directions, vs. just purchase my kit and plug and play install a proven design. I can even provide price break downs component-by-component to prove that point! I keep my margins as tight as possible to provide a quality kit at as good of pricing as I can offer, and I'm able to make that possible by purchasing my materials in bulk and offering kits in batches.

Don't try to save a buck when it comes to things as critical as charging, cooling, fueling, or braking, do it once and do it right! Electrical gremlins can be some of the worst to chase down, so a well-designed, overly-robust, and cleanly-installed kit is the only way to do it!
